Online Artist Social - 7th February 2024

A space for artists and freelance arts workers to find social connection and share knowledge!

Based on feedback from visual artists in the region needing a space to connect and share work/knowledge, in 2023 we set up an Online Artist Social, which meets on Zoom the first Wednesday of every month. The meeting will be alternating between afternoons and evenings to suit a wider range of people. On Wednesday 7th February 2024, we’ll be meeting at 6pm-7pm.

In this session we are asking: How do you investigate your creative ideas?

We will be joined by Melissa Burntown, Collaborative Doctoral Researcher (CDA) and artist, to help facilitate the discussion. We hope a discussion around researching and investigating ideas might provide inspiration and a space to share ideas with those in the meeting.

This is a developing group so the space will be curated by the artists and arts workers who take part. It could provide a space to share what you are working on, request feedback on a recent work, to deliver a presentation, test out an idea or share your experiences from the creative sector to find peer support and brainstorm challenges. It is an opportunity to make connections, friendships and share resources.
