EDIA Meeting - 21st February 2024
Fair & Equitable (F&E) is a five year programme and commitment to instituting equity within the visual arts sector in England. CVAN have created four toolkits for the creative sector, reports on lessons learned and a call to action toolkit. Take a look at some of their resources prior to the meeting and we will discuss them further during the meeting.
If you have any questions or thoughts please send them to info@yvan.org.uk. We will use some of these to facilitate part of the discussion. It is an opportunity to share resources, experiences and knowledge on the subject. You are also welcome to just come along and see if anything arises during the meeting.
About the EDIA group
The Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility group is a development of a previous internal working group at YVAN. The group aims to challenge current practices, show commitment to mental and physical wellbeing and share knowledge, bringing together voices and lived experiences to help the creative and cultural sector in the Yorkshire and Humber region make better decisions.
We have a meeting every 6 weeks, each with a different topic, so you can come to those sessions of particular relevance.
YVAN do not claim to be the benchmark on EDIA in the arts and acknowledge we will fail on occasion, but we are working towards best practice, alongside our national network through the Fair and Equitable campaign.
