YVAN Joins The #ArtIsEssential Digital March

If you could ask the Government to do one thing for the visual arts, what would it be?

This month, CVAN are asking you to make / create / produce a placard in preparation for a digital march taking place on June 10th.

This Autumn, the Government’s Comprehensive Spending Review will set out the budget for the next three years - what do you want to be part of it?

YVAN Team Members Georgia Taylor, Roger McKinley and Sarah Yaccabe share their placards below.

Event Details

Join CVAN on Thursday 10th June at an event where we will hear from some key speakers about the continued far reaching impact of our sector, and the threats it is facing.

Come armed with your placard ready to take to social media after the event, as one, in a collective march.

For a unified message on your social post from, begin with “Art is Essential” and be sure to use the hashtag #ArtIsEssential

Example: “Art Is Essential to the identity of the places we live. We must protect the entire arts ecology, here for culture, not just today, but for tomorrow #ArtIsEssential”
