The Artists Journey 2021 - Watch the Artist Presentations
In order to improve support for visual artists across the region, we need a deeper understanding of how artists support each other, stay, and thrive in Yorkshire and Humber. As students emerge from University, they need a good understanding of the landscape into which they are emerging in order to encourage them stay and contribute to the arts ecology, health, and diversity of the regional offer. The Artists Journey Conference aimed to furnish students with helpful information and direct contact with practitioners and their networks, to broaden their understanding of local and regional resources, and local networks’ modus of activity that supports a thriving visual arts sector.
YVAN and Sheffield Hallam University with Bloc hosted The Artists Journey (TAJ) #4 online on Wednesday 30th June 2001, 10am until 5.30pm. The audience of 35 consisted of a mix of SHU Fine Art students from Level 5 & 6, recent graduates, alumni and independent artist practitioners.
Speakers were drawn from across the Yorkshire and Humber Region, and each representing a different Artists Network in the region.
