Equity, Diversity & Wellbeing Open Meeting
Thursday 9th March, 13:00-14:00, over Zoom.
Artists Union England- The Good Practice Charter explained.
YVAN invite you to the next meeting of this important working group to explore current issues and mechanisms to enable greater inclusion in the arts.
We will welcome Paul Collinson who has worked with the Artists Union England to develop the Good Practice Charter, and has supported YVAN in recent years around the Fair and equitable campaign and our anti racist organisation framework. Paul will talk about how the Good Practice Charter was developed and its significance to the Artists Unions England.

YVAN are inviting co-creators from people passionate about the arts and believe in change to bring their voice and lived experiences to help the creative and cultural sector in the Yorkshire and Humber region make better decisions.
We have set up an Equity, Diversity and Wellbeing working group, and recognise this needs to be expanded and developed to improve inclusion, challenge current practices and share knowledge. Eventually the group could operate autonomously, supported by YVAN to begin with, to enable a programme of activity.
You do not have to be a creative practitioner or a UK resident to join in. We will be operating a Safe Space Policy which everyone will need to agree with, and the meetings will be via zoom, so you will need access to the internet.
We hope to have a meeting every 6 weeks. You are not required to attend every meeting, and we anticipate the initial meeting will develop a series of topics to explore, with dates, so you can come to those sessions of particular relevance.
We look forward to having conversations with you about some challenging issues.
